What should I expect from my packaging supplier?
Designing and producing the correct packaging or presentation box is critical to your marketing as it showcases your brand. It should be a simple process and easy for you to have your ideal product manufactured
The packaging supplier should be the expert and willing to give you advice
Most promotional box companies will happily give out previously produced samples to show the quality of their work
You will need to advise the size of the product and its weight
Ideally you will have a style of packaging in mind, we will always advise if we think there is a better packaging solution
After quoting and once prices have been approved, we would always ask for contents of the product so we can produce a plain sample for approval before production. Only once this has been approved do we move to the artwork stage and we would supply a laydown guide for this.
Never go into production of your presentation box without having followed the process above. However good you may think your measurements are if they are wrong and the item doesn’t fit the responsibility is yours. If all is well and they do fit but maybe not as well as they should then your packaging will not be as effective as it could be.
